James Gordon "Big Daddy" Clolinger, 8o, of Jackson, passed away February 26, 2019 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born October 1, 1938 to Jacob and Beville Clolinger in Jackson. A member of McCann's United Methodist Church in Jackson, he had been employed as a crane operator at Boise Cascade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Alabama football and swapping stories with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Johnny Clolinger, Edward Clolinger, Ruth Johnson, Alice Hepstall, and George Clolinger.
He is survived, by his wife, Louise Clolinger; children, Renee (Barney) Lowery, Ron (Ashley) Clolinger; grandchildren, Blake (Lissa) Lowery, Maggie Clolinger, Hannah Lowery, Mallie Clolinger; great-granddaughter, Marley Lowery and sister, Julia Parsons.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Revs. Earl Watson and Forrest Weekley officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Dale McIntyre, Jimmy Hepstall, Earl Hepstall, Steve Dominick, Barney Lowery and Blake Lowery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Maggie Clolinger, Mallie Clolinger, Hannah Lowery and Marley Lowery.
