James Coaker

James Albert Coaker, 84, of Fruitdale entered into rest Sunday, February 15, 2015 in Mobile. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Grace Williams Cemetery. Pastor Robert Kirkland will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Lathan Funeral Home, Chatom.


Mr. Coaker was a native and lifelong resident of Fruitdale, AL and a member of the Brethren Church. He was a Korean War veteran service in the US Air Force. Mr. Coaker was an active and faithful supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Disabled American Veterans Charity, Veterans of Foreign War, and the Paralyzed Veterans of America. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seigfred Moore & Eliza Esther McCrary Coaker, Sr, a brother, Seigfred Moore Coaker, Jr, and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Holt.


He is survived by a sister-in-law, Jeannette Coaker of Ozark, AL and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
