James Gwin

James E. "Carl" Gwin, 78, passed away September 8, 2017 at his residence in Walker Springs. He was born September 29, 1938 to Albert and Elenor Lee Gwin. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Boise Cascade after having worked there for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising cattle. He was baptized at the Walker Springs Methodist Church.



Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Jewell Gilchrist Gwin; children, Cindy (Gregorio) Santiago, Robert N. (Kelly) Phillips, Jr., Terry W. (Emily) Barnes; honorary children, Randal S. (Sandra) Weaver, Henry Craig (Charlotte) Weaver, Christopher R. (Lori) Weaver; sister, Merle (Chester) Thomas; grandchildren, Gregorio Cruz Santiago, Cydnee Phillips, Trace Phillips, Blakely, Barnes, Anndi Barnes, Cadie Barnes, Russell Weaver, Wesley Weaver, Rene' Weaver, Taylor Weaver, Clay Weaver, Jennifer Wiggins, Emily Sheffield and numerous other family members and friends.



He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Edward Gwin, Bobby Gwin, Gray Gwin, Jack Gwin and Dorothy McFarland.



A celebration of life was conducted at his residence in Walker Springs on Sunday, September 10, 2017 where family and friends shared a time of love, support, fellowship, food and prayers.
