Janice Wiggins

April 30, 1949 — January 6, 2019

Janice Coleman Wiggins, 69, of Grove Hill, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. She was born April 30, 1949 to James and Zettie Mae Coleman in Grove Hill. She had been employed with the Alabama Department of Human Resources as well as Grove Hill Memorial Hospital and was an adjunct instructor with Reid State Technical College. She enjoyed reading and travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alpheus Wiggins and stepson, Christopher John Wiggins.

She is survived by stepson, Dwight Wiggins; grandchildren, Jon A. (Hannah) Wiggins, Danielle Wiggins (Tyler) Gilbert, Ian Tyler (Teresa) Wiggins; great-grandchildren, Eli Gilbert, Scarlet Jane Gilbert, three more to arrive soon; beloved adopted family, Mabel Stifflemire, Terry Stifflemire, Debbie Stifflemire, Betty Wiggins; best friend, Mary Allyn Syler and numerous other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill with the Rev. Bert Hendrix officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Wiggins, Jon Wiggins, Tyler Wiggins, Terry Stifflemire, Coleman Stifflemire and Logan Coleman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Coleman, Wayne Coleman, Chuck Coleman and Tyler Gilbert.
