Janie Bolen

Janie Allen Bolen, 93, passed away February 12, 2021. A native of Rockville, Janie was born October 14, 1927 to parents Charles and Annie Pippin Allen. Mrs. Bolen was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, she graduated from Jackson High School, class of ’45 and worked for the U.S. Postal Service as Postmaster in the town of McIntosh. She loved her family and friends very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hubert G. Bolen, siblings, Annie Laura Jones, Juanita A. Church, Charles Lamar Allen, and Mildred A. Roberts.
Survived by her brother, Jimmy P. Allen, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Taylor Morgan officiating and Lathan Funeral Home conducting.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson 302 E. Church Street, Jackson, AL 36545, or a favorite charity.
