Jannie Baugh

Jannie L. Baugh, 87, of Grove Hill, passed away December 7, 2021. Mrs. Baugh was born on August 24, 1934, in Vineland, Alabama to parents Robert Durad and Amanda Elrod Casteel. Jannie loved her family and was a wonderful mother who cared for her family. She loved to garden earlier in her years, her word search books, but as the grand children started to arrive her love and interest towards them became her new love in life.

Preceded in death by her husband, Leon L. Baugh, parents, siblings, William Casteel, Charles Casteel, Billy Casteel, Jeanette Baugh, Geneva Smith, Irene Casteel.

Survived by her children, Susan (Marty) Gardner, Cathy (Jerry) Gates, Robert Autrey, Cindy Baugh, and Paula (Shane) Anderson, brother, Harold Casteel. She also is survived by 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren, and many other extended family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Brett Rush, Derrick Autrey, Micah Autrey, Ethan Autrey, Devin Byrd, Tristan Rush, Landon Goodman.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill with a visitation from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Bro. Benny Harrison officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Bassett's Creek Cemetery following the service.
