Jeffery Latham

Jeffrey Stancell Latham, 32, of Grove Hill, AL died April 29, 2015 in Fulton. He was born September 14, 1982. He was employed as a substitute teacher at Jackson Academy. He had earned a bachelor's degree in history from Auburn University and was working toward his master's degree.


He is survived by his parents, Howard Stancell Latham and Alice Faye Anderson.; four sisters, Melanie Broach, Camilla Webb, Elizabeth Claxton and Jennifer Newton; one brother, Eddie Sims; and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services were May 2, 2015 at Salem Baptist Church on Old Line Rd. in Sycrene with the Rev. Johnny Gillis officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill officiating.


Pallbearers were Jeremy Welch, Jeremy Parden, Justin Sims, Mike McHaney, Wayne Dozier and Joe Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Cameron Vargas, Tracy Newton, Taylor Newton, Todd McHaney and Aubree Sims.
