Jeffrey "Bodine" Evans

Jeffrey Wade "Bodine" Evans, 40, of Grove Hill passed away April 18, 2025. Bodine was born May 7, 1984 to Reynolds and Dianne Evans. He was a graduate of Washington County High School Class of 2002. Bodine was an avid hunter and bass fisherman. He lived life to the fullest; Bodine loved to laugh and have a good time. He could often be found relaxing with a cold beverage in hand listening to some good old classic country music (Hank Williams and Waylon Jennings were true favorites). Bodine was the king of pranks, you had better be prepared if you were tempted to try to get him because he would counter you 100-fold! Bodine could be stubborn at times, but he was a kind, warm hearted soul with the best sense of humor; he was well loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

Bodine is predeceased by his father, Reynolds Evans and his brother, Brad Evans.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Evans; mother, Dianne Evans; children, Gracie Evans, Wyatt Evans, Remington Evans, Ryder Lowder, and Dacy Robison; as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends.

Services will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral begins at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Nick Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Fairford.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Renfroe, Daniel Davison, Ryan Evans, Hunter Breland, Jamie Jones, Bryan Burger, Mac Brewer, and Kyley McLain.

Honorary pallbearers will be Houston Anderson, Walker Byrd, Jordan Hunt, Doug Byrd, Therrel Smith, and Ricky Howell.
