Jenny Garrick

November 24, 1957 — April 18, 2024

Jenny Smith Garrick, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at her home on April 18, 2024, in Jackson Alabama. Jenny was born on November 24, 1957, in Waco, Texas. She moved to Jackson as a young child and resided there for the remainder of her life. Jenny graduated from Jackson Academy in 1976. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jackson. Teaching Sunday school and being a member and later the president of the four seasons Garden club were two of her passions. The strong relationships she formed with the families she cared for were extremely special to her. Jenny's kind spirit was known by all who met her and a stranger never crossed her path. Her fun, loving attitude was contagious and her love for her friends and family was fierce.

Jenny was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles C. (Sonny) Smith and Ouida Hudson Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Garrick Adkinson (Keith) of Dothan, Heather Garrick Andrews (Blane) of Chattanooga, son, Brandon Garrick (Brittany), and grandsons Mac Adkinson, George Adkinson and Reece Garrick, and sister Cindy Smith Avery (Houston) of Auburn.

Pallbearers will be Keith Adkinson, Mac Adkinson, Blane Andrews, Will Criswell, Kasey Garrick and Jonathan Skipper.
