Jerry Alfred Parden, 80, of Coffeeville, passed away November 16, 2022, at his home. He was born January 13, 1942, to parents James Ellis and Bernice Dungan Parden. Jerry was a man of many interests. He was a Deacon at Bethel Baptist Church and a Past Master in the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing guitar. He had a special love for hotrods. He had a 38 Ford, a Corvette, and a 53 F100 just to name a few. He was always willing to help those in need. Jerry loved his grandchildren and took a special interest in each of their lives. If you ever saw the twinkle in his eye, you knew mischief was coming as he enjoyed a good laugh with his witty jokes and pranks.
Survived by his wife of 59 years Patricia Ann Andress Parden, children Tracy (Clint) Haight, Shane (Tammy) Parden, grandchildren Robert (Hannah) Galbraith, Mary Karsyn Parden, Sean (Rachel) Haight, great grandchildren Christian Galbraith, Kylin Galbraith, Gerald Yager, Dylan Haight, Blayden Haight, and Carson Haight, sisters Paulette Brooks, and Patsy Burge, also many extended family members and loving friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother James 'Bowe' Parden, and infant brother Ray Parden.
Pallbearers will be Russell Huggins, Roy Johnson, Greg Autry, Donal Dunagan, Ronnie Andress, Jason Clark, Randy Parden, and Jason James. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronal Dunagan, Vickie Dunagan, and Edward Guy.
Funeral Services will at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with a visitation starting at 12:30 pm. Bro. Warren Shewmake and Bro. Paul McLendon officiating. Services will conclude at Ulcanush Baptist Cemetery with Masonic funeral rites.
