Jesse Bolen

Jesse Stewart Bolen, 68, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born in Brownwood, TX on December 10, 1952 to Jesse L. Bolen and Pauline Gresham Bolen. He had worked in the oil fields for Belden Blake, but more recently, had provided private guitar lessons for numerous budding musicians. He frequently played guitar with family and friends and had enjoyed hunting and fishing in years past.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry Bolen and brother-in-law, Jerry L. Chastain, Sr.
He is survived by his sister, Lynda Chastain; nieces and nephews, Joseph Hunter Bolen, Jerry (Roxanne) Chastain, Tory (Torrey) Jones, Erin Chastain (Jay) Corbitz, Cameron Messenger; great nieces and nephews, Sarah Gresham Jones, Harrison Jones, Chambers Jones, Joseph Bolen, Elisabeth Bolen, Alisa Bolen, Amelia Bolen, Milan Corbitz, Ross Messenger, sister-in-law, Carol Bolen Lawrence and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with Dr. Ben Stubblefield, Rev. Brian Jemison and Jeramy Alday officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Cemetery in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be David Chastain, Brandon Garrick, Edward Gilley, Cameron Messenger, Torrey Jones and Bailey Rokle.
