Jewell Taylor

Jewell Batley Taylor, 87, of Leroy, passed away September 4, 2017 at Jackson Healthcare Facility. She was born January 16, 1930 to Joseph and Jewell Gill Batley. A Daughter of the Confederacy, she was also a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church who loved planting flowers and cooking.



She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jay Taylor and brothers, Fred Batley and W.E. Batley.



She is survived by her children, Gene (Deanna) Taylor, Christina (Christopher) Wilmoth, Kevin (Becky) Taylor, Fred Warren (Theresa) Taylor; grandchildren, Jason (Christie) Taylor, Julie (Waylon) Powell, Grant (Amy) Taylor, William Taylor, Lee Arnett, Taylor Arnett; great-grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Laura Rose Taylor, Ava Powell, Brice Taylor, Allie Powell and sister, Voncille Keyes.



A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Leroy with the Rev. Tommy Gaillard officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
