Jimmy Hollis Kennedy, 74, of Millry, passed away November 16, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 3, 1942 in Wetumpka to Noah and Leona Kennedy. He was employed as a supervisor of the structural fabrication shop with Brown and Root and was a fan of Alabama football and Nascar racing. He was enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Kennedy; children, James Clint (Bridget) Kennedy, Lesa (Greg) Goldman, Holly (Kyle) Adams; grandchildren, Tiffany Kennedy, Brett Kennedy, Sidney Brown, Dayton Adams, Dalton Adams, Eli Adams, Kyleigh Adams; great-grandchildren, Jase Brown, Layla Kennedy; niece, Amber Smith and siblings, Alex Kennedy, Wayne Kennedy and Linda Wood.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Brown-Kennedy Cemetery with the Revs. Timothy Pearson, J.J. West and Mark Guy officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Ray Kennedy, Ricky Henderson, Aaron Dueitt, Joe Frazier, Jeff Kennedy, Tony Kennedy, Jason Kennedy, Johnny Atchison, Ben Wood and Dan Callaway.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Atchison, David Atchison, Frank Atchison, William Hill, Danny Smith, Brett Kennedy and Michael Smith.
The family wishes to offer a special word of thanks to Amber Smith and Legacy Hospice for the loving care provided to Mr. Kennedy.
