Jimmy Sloan

Jimmy Sloan, age 86, died March 30, 2018. Mr. Sloan was born May 16, 1931 to the late James Harvey and Bonnie C. Short Sloan. He was a resident of Jackson where he was a member of Peniel Baptist Church. Mr. Sloan retired from Alabama Energy Cooperative Plant in Leroy. In his free time he enjoyed golf and woodworking. He had also served in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Sloan is survived by his wife, Anna C. Sloan of Jackson, daughter, Crysti (Rusty) Cherry of Mobile, brother, Robert "Bob" Sloan of Livonia, MI, sister, Patricia Ann Deal of Waxhaw, NC, grandchildren, Ryan Casey (Amber) Cherry and Sloan Michelle Cherry of Mobile, and great grandchild, Maverick Cherry.

Mr. Sloan is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Millard F. Sloan.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Peniel Baptist Church. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 am with Bro. Gary Pickard officiating.
