John Calvin Reeves, 69, died May 19, 2023 at his home. John was born August 28, 1953 to N. L. and Emma Jean Reeves. He retired from a career in healthcare. John filled his days after retiring traveling to see his grandchildren in their various sports and activities as he was their biggest fan.
John is survived by his children, Cal (Courtney) Reeves, Tiffani (Jerome) Jones, and Blake (Tessa) Reeves; grandchildren, Lily, Mary Alice, Hannah, Sarah Kate, Emma, Craigan, Tanner and Nia; siblings, Freddie Ray (Beverly) Reeves and Diane Lawlis.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Tammy Brown.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Lathan Funeral Home with Pastor John David Stewart officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to the Jackson Police Department or the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department.
