John Savage Jr.

John Lee Savage, Jr., 60, of Foley and previously of Jackson, passed away August 5, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 22, 1956 to John Lee Savage, Sr. and Joann Savage (Sonny) Williams.



An avid hunter and fisherman, he was also a fan of Alabama football and enjoyed spending time helping others and doing carpentry work. He awoke every morning in time to watch the sunrise over a cup of coffee. A member of First United Methodist Church of Jackson, he was a retired employee of BASF.



He was preceded in death by his father.



He is survived by his mother; wife, Susan Savage; children, John Lee (Robin) Savage III, Trey (Nina) Graham, Kaitlyn (Devin) Langham, William Savage; grandchildren, Jamin Savage, Sawyer Brooks Graham, Saylah Langham; brother, Jeff (Martha) Savage; nephew, A.J. Savage and mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Ann McCorkel..



Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at First United Methodist Church of Jackson with the Revs. Jim DuFriend and Alan Gantzhorn officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service.



Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Franklin, Robert Evans, Devin Langham, David Anderson, Kevin Wheat, Bill McCorkel and Darwin Halbrooks.
