Johnene Lawrence

Johnene Lois Lawrence, 57, of Perdido Key, FL and Baton Rouge, LA, passed away February 17, 2019 at her Perdido Key residence. She was born February 12, 1962 to John and Margaret Martin in Mobile. A woman of great discernment, Johnene's life was dedicated to love of God and family, missionary and volunteer assistance to those in need. She frequently informed her family that she loved them "bigger than the stars, sky and universe." She was a stay-at-home mother who also enjoyed writing poetry.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Fletcher Martin.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, George Michael Lawrence, Sr; sons, George Michael Lawrence, Jr., John Michael Coulter; siblings, John Lucas Martin, Ralph Martin, Rosamond Bozeman, Jeanea Greene and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Tommy Gaillard officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
