Juanita Allday

April 13, 1941 — March 7, 2025

Juanita Whatley Allday, 83, of Jackson passed away March 7, 2025 with loved ones by her side. Born April 13, 1941, Juanita grew up playing in the Grove Hill Band. She was a special woman who loved unconditionally and never met a stranger. A devoted Christian, she was a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church and had previously been a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church; wherever she attended church she volunteered for many committees and helped where she could. Juanita was an amazing cook and was proud to make anything her husband wanted, and she happily honored any request she could for dishes at church, family, and community events. Juanita had worked at Vanity Fair and was a talented seamstress who could create just about anything. One of her proudest accomplishments landed her in the South Alabamian, her Hole-in-One! Juanita truly enjoyed spending time with her husband golfing and fishing in their younger years. She was an avid sports fan and loved to give a big "Roll Tide" for her beloved University of Alabama and enjoyed watching many Braves games with her family. Most of all Juanita loved her family; her husband, son, daughter, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were her world and she was so proud of each of them.

Juanita is survived by the love of her life, her Baby and husband of nearly 64 years, Earnest G. Allday; children, Sheila Allday Lee, and Michael Eugene Allday (Tammy); grandchildren, T. R. Lee, II (Carey), Taylor Rhuston Lee, and Ashton Lee Crosby (Gerrid); great grandchildren, Jazlyn Crosby, Raelyn Crosby, and Kasyn Crosby; siblings, Bubba Whatley, David Overstreet (Dina), and Margaret Overstreet Heithold (Brad); as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
