Karen R. Jordan, 77, of Coffeeville, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Pascagoula, MS on Friday, August 18, 1944. A founding member of New Faith Baptist Church in Coffeeville, she was a devoted church member where she served on numerous committees. She enjoyed cooking, playing the piano and traveling, especially to the beach.
She was preceded in death by parents, Curtis Redmond and Thelma Wilson Redmond; husband, Joe Cecil Jordan and brother, Wayne Curtis Redmond.
She is survived by her children, Greg Gainer, Raquel (Mark) Krupa, J.P. Walker; grandchildren, Crystal Hodge, Will (Hannah) Hammond, Morgan Hammond, Alexis Tate, Jay Walker; great-grandchildren, T.R. Hodge, Tucker Hodge and Covie Hammond; siblings, Burton Ernest (Carol) Redmond, Glen L. Redmond and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at New Faith Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Ozment and Cliff Waddill officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Ulcanush Baptist Church with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Morgan Hammond, Will Hammond, Timothy Hodge, Kevin Jackson, Brian James and Joe James.
Honorary pallbearers will be T.R. Hodge, Tucker Hodge and Jay Walker.
