Kenneth Donald “Donnie” Deas, 81, a native of Coffeeville, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born February 11, 1938 to L.C. Deas and Eula Mae Woodard Deas. An humble and loving family man, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking, cutting timber and working. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he had been employed at Boise Cascade and attended The First Baptist Church of Coffeeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Robert Lance Criswell, Joshua Wayne Deas; siblings, Herman C. Deas, Carolyn Deas Price and nephew, Gary Wayne Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Jarman Deas; children, Laurie Deas (Kenneth Gary) Pritchett, Kenneth Wayne Deas, Kristian (Casie) Roe, Ashley Deas (Jeff) Johnson,; grandchildren, Chase Sterling Criswell, Madison Alliece Roe, Justin Lawson Roe, Kierstyn Delores Steed, Grayson Elliott Roe, Aeson Wesley Roe, Lily DeAnn Jones, Adalyn Johnson, Connor Johnson; great-grandchildren, Maddox James Criswell, Cayson Lance Criswell, John Colby Foster, Alana Marie Anderson, Alec Gray Daugherty, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Brent Fuller officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ulcanush Baptist Cemetery in Coffeeville with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Pritchett, Chase Criswell, Jeff Johnson, Mike Alexander, Devin Walker and Wesley Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy McConnell, Frank Hickman, M.L. Roberts, James Woodham and Harold Alford.
