Kenneth Jones

Kenneth Arnold Jones, 64, of Saraland died Sunday, September 11, 2022. Ken was born September 14, 1957 to Arnold and Ella Mae Jones. He had the prettiest blue eyes and the best, most boisterous laugh that would bring a smile to your face whenever you heard it. Ken was an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He loved all things outdoors including fishing and hunting but had gotten softer in his older age and would often let the "groceries" get away.

Ken, also known by the handle "Country Boy", had worked at Courtaulds until its closing and had retired last month from Mitchell Container Service. He formed many friendships through the years leading to his retirement which he treasured.

Ken was a good and simple man. The kind of man who was content with having just what he needed for each day and was happy to put in a hard day's work to earn it. Ken was never interested in having the biggest or best things in life and believed second hand was as good as new so long as it worked right. When it came to making sure his loved ones had the things they needed, Kenny would spend or share whatever he had without hesitation.

Family was always a priority for Ken. He loved his mama, daddy and brothers tremendously. His kids and grandkids were his pride and joy; he never tired of hearing about their accomplishments or the activities they were involved in and treasured even the simplest mementos and pictures he had from them.

While Ken will be greatly missed for many reasons including his contagious laugh and generous spirit, his family will miss hearing him tell them how much he loved them and reminding them to tell the rest of the family how much he loved them most of all.

Ken is survived by his parents; children, Melissa Jones Hudson (Chad), Melanie Jones Ziebach (Joey) and Joshua Amos Jones; grandchildren, Kaleb, Jacob, Matthew, Emily, Landon, Kenlee Jasmine and Joshua; great-grandchild, Waylon Brooks; brothers, Larry Jones and Michael Jones as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Jones.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Jones Chapel Cemetery near Perry's Chapel.
