Larry Dolbear

Larry G. Dolbear, 65, of Jackson, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Jackson Medical Center. He was born in Jackson on June 5, 1956 to Clifford "Sambo" Dolbear and Mary Stout Dolbear. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a welder prior to retirement due to Parkinson's. He loved attending church and had been a member of several area churches. He was also a devoted fan of The University of Alabama football program and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Theresa Toone Dolbear.
He is survived by his son, Elijah Dolbear; stepdaughter, Carlon Ashley Toone; brother, Roy (Grace) Dolbear; special aunt, Geraldine Rynders and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Peniel Baptist Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
