Larry Singleton

Larry R. Singleton, 58, of Chatom, passed away November 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 27, 1959 to Archie and Mary Lee Singleton. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was an all-around "people person" and was extremely passionate about deer hunting and riding his grandchildren on the four-wheeler. He was a hard-working man who devoted himself fully to any task at hand.


He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ellis Singleton, Alan Singleton, Jerry Singleton and Berdean Singleton Hoover.


He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Robinson Singleton of Chatom; children, Bradley (Haley) Singleton of Chatom, James "Jim" Armstrong of Fort Dodge, IA, William "Billy" Armstrong of Santa Cruz, CA, Leighann (Michael) Elliott of Gilbertown, Tiffany (Caleb) Alday of Spanish Fort; grandchildren, Jason (Kimberly), Tiffany (Richard), Denise (Phillip), Emily, Ryan, Alexis, Landon, Amber, Ezra, Emma, Kendall, Madelyn; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Tremell Singleton, Archie "Skeeter" Singleton, Darol Singleton, Archie "Buddy" Singleton, Barbara Singleton Mimms and Tammy Singleton Dickey.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Millry with the Revs. Michael Elliott and Kenneth Henson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.


Pallbearers will be Jonathan "Bo-Jack" Singleton, Ronnie Singleton, Tremell "Bo" Singleton, Kyle Dickey, Ira Singleton and Robbie Singleton.


Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Dickey, Jason Armstrong, Ryan Thornton, Dale Singleton, Dean Henson, Patrick Dickey and Terrance McGrew.
