Laurie Len Roberts, 55, of Coffeeville, passed away March 10, 2017 in Monroe County. He was born June 8, 1961 to Ewell Dayton Roberts and Martha Purvis Roberts. An employee of Georgia Pacific Pulp Mill, he was also a Man of God with a servant's heart who very much enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors, but more than anything, he was a devoted and loving husband, father and Poppa. He was also a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and the Coffeeville Masonic Lodge #122.



He was preceded in death by his parents.



He is survived by his wife, Leesa Stokley Roberts; children, Sheramie (Chad) Larrimore, Zachary (Terri) Roberts; grandchildren, John Patrick Larrimore, Lynlee Larrimore, Cooper Hudson, Ellie Hudson; brother, Clark (Susan) Roberts; dear friends whom he loved as brothers, Alvin McIntyre, Cecil Roberts and a host of other dear relatives and friends.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Glenn Dunnam officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home and will resume at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow the service at Griffin Chapel Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Jason James, Randy Smith, Vic Stringer, Shannon Sawyer, Mike Rawls, Greg Hooper, Cecil Roberts and Alvin McIntyre.



Honorary pallbearers will be James Dunagan and co-workers of the E&I unit at Georgia Pacific Pulp Mill.
