Lavander Wade

Lavander 'Van' Gibb Wade, 67, passed away on September 13, 2024. He was born on September 2, 1957, to parents George and Lucille Sullivan Wade Sr. Van was an electrician and worked in many of the plants and mills throughout Southern Alabama. He enjoyed being outdoors and whenever he could, he would go fishing. Van always looked forward to Autumn because of his love of both deer hunting and Alabama football, two of his favorite things. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents and his brother George Edward Wade Jr.

Survived by his sons Adam (Stefanie) Wade, Aaron (Brittany) Wade; grandchildren Brooklyn Wade and DJ Wade; sisters Kathy (Wayne) Sullivan, and Wanda (David) Atchinson. Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and loving friends.
