Lebron Durden

Lebron White Durden, 77, of Monroeville, passed away March 21, 2017. She was born July 26, 1939. She was a loving wife and mother, and family was so precious to her. Even though she suffered tremendous losses throughout her life, she stayed steadfast in her faith and loved the Lord. She will be dearly missed by so many, but we will see her again soon. It's OK sweet Mama to let go and go to sleep, for I will see you in the morning.



She was preceded in death by daughter, Torey Durden (Ricky) Jones; sons, John Wayne Durden, Jr., Lee Wilson Durden; grandsons, Tristan Ainsley Jones, Jordan Lee Durden and granddaughter, MarLee Paige Chandler.



She is survived by her husband, William C. Hammond, Jr. of Monroeville; daughter, Anissa Durden (Don) Cannon of Birmingham; sister, Millicent White Hennis of Chickasaw; grandchildren, Joseph Patrick (Casey Jo) Jones of Tuscaloosa, Stefen Brett (Haley) Jones of Birmingham, Casen Hunter Jones of Birmingham, Caitlin Elise Durden of Mexia, Candace Durden (Kyle) Fikes of Moundville, Garrett Holden Chandler of Birmingham, Gavin Harris Chandler of Birmingham, Brittney Cannon of Hueytown; great-grandchildren, Trever Wilson of Tuscaloosa, Josie Bracknell of Tuscaloosa, Chloe Addison Jones of Birmingham, Hudson Palmer Jones of Birmingham, Cooper Jordan Fikes of Moundville, Sadie Paige Fikes of Moundville and numerous other step-children, step-grandchildren and other relatives.



A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Hughie Denton officiating.
