Lillian Lathan

Lillian Margaret Scarbrough Lathan, 92, of Chatom, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her residence. She was born December 14, 1925 to Silas and Mattie Givens Scarbrough. A member of Laton Hill Baptist Church, she enjoyed raising flowers, watching hummingbirds, quilting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, DeHass Lathan; daughter, Amma Yuvonne "Bonnie" Lathan, and siblings, Rachel Page, Warren Scarbrough, Grace Stuart and Mary Hennis.
Survivors include her daughters, Diane Clarke, Janice (William) Koen; grandchildren, Jason (Charla) Clarke, Barry (Kristy) Koen, Dinah (Scott) Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Robert Jason (Dora) Clarke, Victoria Clarke, Blaine Clarke, Seth Koen, Eli Koen, Ella Scott Koen, Emma Kate Lindsey; siblings, Pearl Odom and Charles Scarbrough and one great, great-granddaughter to soon be born.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with the Rev. Renea Henderson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Laton Hill Baptist Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Jason Clarke, Barry Koen, Robert Jason Clarke, Seth Koen, Eli Koen and Blaine Clarke.
