Linda Cherry

Linda Faye Cherry, 74, or Montgomery, passed away October 26, 2016, at UAB Hospital. She was born September 2, 1942 to O'Neil and Marjorie May in Jackson. A member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, she was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and she very much enjoyed golfing and bowling.



She is survived by her husband, David Cherry, Sr. of Montgomery; children, Lowery Wilson, Jeff (Anita) Wilson, both of Killen, Sherrie (Jeff) Nichols of Alabaster; step-children, David S. Cherry, Jr., George Karl (Candy) Cherry, Michael B. Cherry; brother, Charles May of Montgomery; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 29 at Peniel Baptist Church in Jackson with the Rev. Carey Howard and Jeff Nichols officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.



Pallbearers will be Roy Atchison, Bobby Atchison, Jerry May, Ronnie Atchison, Karl Cherry and Jim Reilly.



Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Clifton, Joe Larrimore, Royce Mathews and Johnny Counselman.
