Linda Sue Mason Frith, 74, of Grove Hill, passed away in Thomasville, Thursday, January 20, 2022, at her daughter's residence. She was born in Grove Hill on Friday, February 7, 1947. A very active member of Grove Hill Baptist Church, she especially enjoyed working with the children's activities such as GA's. She adored her large family and was devoted to caring for them. She retired after 32 years in the cafeteria at Clarke County High School and she had also been a long time bookkeeper for Johnny Estes in his TV Shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Mason and Mary Bell Franks Mason and siblings, George A. Mason, Emmogene McVay and John Mason.
She is survived by children, Nancy (Thomas) Frisch, Larry Wayne (Maria) Frith, Jr., Susan Frith, Gary (Lorena) Frith; sister, Mary Elizabeth (B.R.) Dunn; grandchildren, Sam Chapman, II, Cece Chapman, Steffan Chapman, April Ross, Kerri Meeks, Justin Ross, Garrett Ross, Patti Frith, Miranda Frith, Trey Frith, Sophia Frith, Camila Frith, Marina Frith; great-grandchildren, Tyler McLeod, James Scruggs, Alicen Scruggs, Addisan Hepstall, AJ Hepstall, Victoria Meeks, Mason Meeks, Ryah Smith, Thad Busby, Avery Ross, Eva Ross, Noah Ross, Cyliegh Ross, Shaddix Watford, James Samuel Chapman, III, Mila Chapman, Emilia Grace Chapman; great, great-grandson, Zayne Massey and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Grove Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Russell Wright and Kyle Routzahn officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at the Grove Town Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Sam Chapman, Steffan Chapman, Justin Ross, Garrett Ross, Trey Frith and Michael Upshaw.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Clarke County High School Class of 1965, nephew, Robert McVay, special neighbor, Claude Agee and Russell Wright.
