Lonnie T. Guy, 75, of Jackson, passed away February 2, 2018 at Jackson Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1942 to Walter J. and Lillie Mae Guy. An avid fisherman and fan of Alabama football, he was also a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church and the Collector's Club. He enjoyed collecting many types of items including antiques of all kinds, guns and rare coins. Spending time with his grandchildren was a passion, and he particularly enjoyed watching their ball games. He was also well-known for the many jokes and pranks he pulled on his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, L.V. Guy, Lillie Marie Veitch, Leon Guy and Lavon Guy.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Guy; children, Casey (Heath) Guy, Heather (James "Punkin") Tucker, Brittany (David) Kittrell; grandchildren, Hannah Hawk, Hayden Hawk, Haleigh Hawk, Ethan Tucker, Easton Tucker, Reece Kittrell, Rynn Kittrell; siblings, Linda Harden, Larry Guy, Libby Nelson and Lawrence Guy and his beloved dog, Little Bear.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson with Rev. William Allison and Dr. Andy Goode officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Interment will follow the service with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Roger Guy, Victor Guy, Jonathan Loper, Anthony Loper, Nathan Hope and Mark Mercy
Honorary pallbearers will be Hayden Hawk, Ethan Tucker, Easton Tucker and Reece Kittrell.
