Lucille Dixon

Lucille Lenora Dixon, 91, a resident of Millry, AL passed away on April 26, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary. Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker who loved her family, cooking, singing and sewing. She wanted everyone around her to be happy or she was not happy. Mrs. Dixon was a member of New Beginnings Church in Millry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sion Brown and Virginia Reed Brown, husband, Hayward Odell Dixon and three brothers, James Brown, Wes Brown and Leslie Brown. She is survived by 3 sons: John W. (Carolyn) Dixon of Millry; Frank H. (Pat) Dixon of Jackson and Mike (Lisa) Dixon of Millry; daughter, Vera Lavone (Don) Goldman of Pennington; sister, Alice Self of Equality. 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Church with Bro. Bo Curry and Bro. Billy Kendrick officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Special music will be provided by great-grandchildren Cody Dixon, Sierra Goldman and Noah Goldman. Burial will follow in the Kimbrough Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dwayne Dixon, Todd Dixon, Josh Dixon, Wesley Dixon, Brandon Dixon, Adam Dixon, Thad Goldman and Neil Goldman. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Bryce Ridenour, Luke Goldman, Jesse Goldman, Jessica Dixon, Bridgett Rider, Luke Dixon, Sam Dixon, Ella Dixon, Michelle McCain, Rachael Kelley, Shelby McCain, Emily Dixon, Tanner Dixon, Simeon Kelley, John Luke Kelley, Cody Dixon, Sierra Goldman, Noah Goldman, Selah Goldman, Skylee Goldman and Luke Goldman.
