Margaret Augzell "Augie" Bryant, 93, of Spanish Fort, formerly of Grove Hill, passed away at the Retreat Hospice in Mobile on March 13, 2023, she had just celebrated her 93rd Birthday with her family. She was born on March 7, 1930, to Lewis and Ollie Allen Lyons. Augie was a fun loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She had a great memory of all things of the past and could recall names and events of years gone by.
Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years E. Nolen Bryant, her parents, son Mike Bryant, brothers Lavonne and Bobby Lyons, and sister Helen Killen.
Survived by her children Jerry N. (Mary Lynn) Bryant, Angie (Tom) Waters, grandchildren Christy (Rick) Jones, Wes (Katharine) Bryant, Hannah Jackson, Joshua (Heather) Dunn, great grandchildren Jack Bryant, Palmer Jones, Hagen Jones, sister Joan Graham, and a special caregiver and friend, Jamie Tate, and many other extended family members and loving friends. A special thank you to the Retreat Hospice staff and nurses who provided compassion and caring treatment during our mother's stay. And a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Martin Lester and his staff for her care for over 45 years.
Pallbearers will be Wes Bryant, Joshua Dunn, Phil Lyons, Rick Jones, Bob Duff, and Bill Cotten.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, with a visitation one hour prior to services at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill.
