Margaret York Seymour

Margaret Jane York Seymour, 84, of Salitpa, passed away on January 15, 2024, at Jackson Healthcare Facility. She was born March 25, 1939, to parents Lee and Esther McIntyre Autry. Margaret graduated from Coffeeville High School as valedictorian class of '57. She lived in Meridian, MS for many years, later returning to her home in Salitpa. She loved her church family at River Hill, she taught Sunday School Class and was in the choir. She enjoyed the social time with her friends at the Jackson Senior Center, and always looked forward to going there. Traveling was something she loved to do. She had the opportunity to go on many trips with her dear friend Mr. Harry Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck Seymour, parents Lee and Esther Autry, and sister Nathalee Hodge Brooks.

She is survived by her sister Patricia Harvey, sons Bob (Donna) York of Salitpa, AL, Kirk York of Kennesaw, GA, Mike (Donna) Seymour of Winter Haven, FL, Rick Seymour of Greenley, CO, Bryan Seymour of Chattanooga, TN, grandchildren Chris (Heather) York, Luke York, Tyler (Mackenzie) Seymour, Cassie Seymour, Rachel Seymour, great-grandchildren Mallie, Maddie, Eva York and Elsie, Leeland Seymour. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be David Harvey, Wendell Hodge, Chris York, Luke York, Russell Harvey, and Dustin Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie York, Kenny Overstreet, Mike Seymour, and Sydney Hoven.

Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, at River Hill Baptist Church with the visitation starting at 12 p.m. Brother Danny Chancey officiating services and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
