Margie Motes

Margie Lee Motes, 72, of Coffeeville, passed away February 22, 2018 at Willow Trace Nursing Home in Butler. She was born November 29, 1945 to Dossie George and Nettie Woodard. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also adored her pet chihuahua, "Darlin."
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marvin Woodard.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Motes; children, Gail (Riley) Sullivan, Keith (Candace) Motes; grandchildren, Dallas Motes, Andy Motes, Hannah (Adam) Jackson, Adam (Kristy) Motes and great-grandchildren, Hunter Jackson and Autumn Motes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Doug Price officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Jones Chapel Church of Christ in Coffeeville with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be James Motes, Lamar Motes, Gary Motes, Jeff James, Roy Cunningham and Jesse Pike.
