Marlin Roy Bolen, 79, of Jackson, passed away March 8, 2017 at Jackson Medical Center. He was born February 19, 1938 to Lloyd and Peggy Bolen. A retired supervisor with Bell South Telephone Company, he was also a very active member of First United Methodist Church of Jackson where he served in numerous positions.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carreen Driskell Bolen; children, Leigh (Crystal) Bolen, Keith (Tammy) Bolen, Daron Bolen; grandchildren, Stevi (Jonathan) Skipper, Weston (Haley) Bolen, Andrea Bolen, Dalton Bolen, Blake Bolen and extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alan Gantzhorn officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Noble, Erwin Cooper, Gay Dewitt, John Gaddis, David Brown and members of the Christian Fellowship Class.
