Martha Emma Brown McDonald, 81, of Wilmer, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at her residence. She was born January 8, 1938 to Connie and Lora Smith Brown in Grove Hill. A self-employed hair dresser, she enjoyed crochet, gardening, cooking and The University of Alabama football. She had a quick wit and enjoyed making others laugh with her keen sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth “Rocky” Webb; siblings, Hazel, Ethel, Jeanette, Gloria, Joseph “Bootsie”, Reggie, Ruth, Betty Pearl and life-long friend, Martha (James) Robinson.
She is survived by her children, Barry Webb, Melanie Webb Johnson, Tina Ruth (Danny) Laster; grandchildren, Tara Webb (David) Nix, Keith Webb, Erin Webb, Haley Webb Rebecca Webb, Jennifer Webb, Laura Lovett, Steven Laster, Elizabeth Laster, Emmalee Johnson; siblings, Sidney Brown, Dorothy Lee; numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Terry Glasscock officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Cantuche Baptist Cemetery in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
