Mary Beech

Mary Frances Beech, 81, of Chatom, passed away October 12, 2015 at her residence. She was born October 5, 1934. A former bookkeeper in a physician's office, she enjoyed playing cards with friends and neighbors. She was a member of Daughters of Ruth Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church of Chatom.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Essie and Gordy Givens.


She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Therman Beech of Chatom; son, Eric Beech of Chatom; three granddaughters, Erica Kate Beech, Raychel Deene Beech, both of Mobile, Brittany Beech of Gautia, Chile; grandson, Josh Beech of Gulf Shores and sister, Joyce (Joe) Taylor of Chatom.


Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Chatom, with the Revs. Jerry Roberson and Robert Kirkland officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Chatom Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Mark Beech, Lyle Beech, Phillip Beech, Barry Beech, Chris Beech, Lamar Beech, Roger Beech, Ricky Beech, Greg Taylor, James Taylor and Gordon Sloat.


Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Daughters of Ruth Sunday School Class.
