Mary Louise Courington, 82, of Semmes, passed away February 21, 2018 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born February 16, 1936 to Cecil and Bertie L. Anderson of Coffeeville. A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included numerous arts and crafts that included making prayer shawls for the DAV.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dewey Courington and siblings, Ella Mae Bulmon, William Cecil Anderson, Sr. and Dora Elizabeth Harper.
She is survived by her children, Mary (J.R.) Kennett, Beersheba Mae (Terry, Sr.) Kiker; grandchildren, Terry Kiker, Jr., Ciristan Kiker, Lexi Kiker, Tabatha Kiker, Bert (Kristy) Kennett, James (Paula) Kennett, Andy Kennett; great-grandchildren, Amanda Allemand, Crystal (Lamar) Lathan, Brittany (Nick) Reynolds, Darrin Allemand, Dylan Kennett; great, great grandchildren, Tina Lathan, Gaige Lathan, Lexi Lathan, and brother, Connie Lee Anderson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Stewart Wade Turner officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Union Grove Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Terry Kiker, Sr., Terry Kiker, Jr., William C. Anderson, Jr., Michael Turner, Bill Knight and Chandler Long.
