Mary Blackmon Taylor, aged 70, passed away on Tuesday, May 21st. She was born on May 23rd, 1953. She was a resident of Jackson, AL. Mary was a labor and delivery nurse in Jackson and also worked in hospitals and nursing homes in Mobile county over her 14 years of nursing as an LPN.
Mary loved God and her family fiercely. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary was so full of pride for her grandchildren and was happiest when she could be with all of them. She cherished her relationships with her family and friends and making every moment memorable. She had a special place in her heart for all of the rescue dogs that she and her husband adopted and gave care, comfort, and boundless love in their forever home. Mary delighted in tending to her flowers and planting in the garden and enjoyed the serenity of the beach and spent as much time by the water as she could. She wanted to bring beauty and color into every part of her life and share her joy and wisdom with everyone. She was a light to many, a born nurturer and a one of a kind soul who will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Wilda Blackmon and her sisters Elaine Thompson and Wendy Blackmon. She is survived by her husband William Taylor; her father, Ollie Blackmon; her son, Nathan Roney; her daughter, Kristy Blackmon and her husband Brad Campbell; her grandchildren Paige Marcet, Nicholas Roney and his wife Tori Roney, Aliyah Roney, Christian Roney, and Jude Campbell.
