Mary Turner

Mary Florence Turner, 93, died at her home on April 22, 2024, in Malcolm, Alabama. She was born on March 29, 1931, in Frankville, Alabama to Thomas Wright Richardson and Laura Anabelle Lane Richardson. She was a member of Malcolm Baptist Church in Malcolm, Alabama. Over the years she served as church secretary, Sunday school teacher and a devout choir member. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend and enjoyed spending time with her Christian family while attending church functions. She and her husband Boykin enjoyed spending time together fishing, watching the University of Alabama football games, Atlanta Braves, and she was a talented crafter.

She was preceded in death by her husband Boykin of 72 years, son Danny, her brothers Aubrey, Van T., and Sammy Richardson.

She is survived by her son Ronny (Diana)Turner, daughter Teresa (Jimmy) Upchurch; her grandchildren Trey (Sissy) Upchurch, Josh (Jana) Upchurch, Daniel Turner, Brandon (Angel) Turner; her great grandchildren Dayton, Braxton, Peyton Turner, Brandon W. and Ezra Turner, Zane, Zeb, Zeke Upchurch.

Honorary pallbearers; John Ike Atcheson, Perry Cunningham, Opie Humphrey, Todd Jernigan, Garland Johnson (Frisco), Ronnie Knapp, Andy Webb, Eric Webb, Bobby Wright, Ricky Richardson.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Malcolm Baptist Church in Malcolm, AL, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Bro. Josh Weber officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Online condolences may be shared at www.lathanfuneralhome.com
