Merline Loper

Merline Davidson Loper, 93, of Deer Park, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born on June 17, 1927 to Webb Davidson and Irma Beech Davidson. A member of Escatawpa Baptist Church, she was a homemaker who enjoyed crossword puzzles, crochet, sewing, cooking and gatherings with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roscoe Loper; sons, Johnny Ray Loper, Laverne Loper; siblings, Audrey Carol Newburn, Leon Davidson, Betty Savage and Margie Booth.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette (Joe) Boothe; sister, Irma “Dolly” Jarman; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Four Points Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Dees officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Jason Boothe, Pete Vandezande, Sam Davidson, Darin Dees, Jerry Tomlinson and Nathaniel Tomlinson.
