Minnie Nora Flowers, 79, of Jackson, passed away December 7, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama. She was born July 26, 1940 in Manila, Alabama to Albert Si and Minnie Lou Poole Finney. She retired from Vanity Fair as a garment inspector, and continuing to work as a cook. Nora was a member of Double Branch Assembly of God in Frankville. She was dedicated to her family and making sure they were all taken care of and to many who affectionately thought of her as a second mother.
She is survived by sons, Albert Maurice Sticher, Thomas Dewayne (Tracey) Sticher, and Terry Raymond (Amy) Nelson. Grandchildren; Joshua Corey Atchison, Brittany Renea Sticher, Ashton Leanne (Chris) Albright, Gabriel Raymond Nelson, and Alexandra Paige Nelson. Great-grandchildren; Serenity, Hayven, and Lukiss Andrews. Brothers; Samuel James Finney, Lem Colbert Finney, Van Finney, Dan Finney, and sister Betty Sue Walker.
Preceded in death by parents, brothers; Ray Finney, Evans Shields Finney Sr., Albert Mamon Finney, and sister Alice Mae Harrell.
Funeral Services will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 687 Walker Springs Road, with Revs. William Allison and Allen Carpenter officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
