Monette Reynolds Morrison, 64, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was born in Jackson on Friday, October 11, 1957. A faithful member of The First Baptist Church of Jackson, she had been active in a number of roles, but the one she loved the most was preparing food for large gatherings at her home church as well as The First Baptist Church in Coffeeville. She loved reading and going to the beach. She also enjoyed gardening, crochet and time with her grandsons.
She is survived by her parents, Frank and Dell Reynolds; husband, Tony Morrison; son, Jonathan (Jessica) Morrison; grandchildren, Anderson Morrison, Asher Morrison, Aiden Morrison; siblings, Carla (Alan) Love, Paul (Karen) Reynolds and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at The First Baptist Church of Jackson with the Drs. Ben Stubblefield and Brian Jemison officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be David Anderson, Greg Cotton, Sid Crosby, Alan Love, Travis Mathews and Jim Reid.
