Morgan Benefield

Morgan Chancey Benefield, 36, of Wagarville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on December 10, 1987.

Morgan is preceded in death by her Aunt Tena Chancey, and paternal grandparents Jack Jean and Sarah Chancey.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Benefield, daughter Harley Benefield, parents, James & Tammy Chancey, maternal grandparents Norel & Sue Turner, siblings J-Bird, Chancey (Krista), Mylisa (AJ), Colby Chancey, nieces and nephew Emma, Sarah, Kacey, Maggie & Levi and sisters Allie Sullivan & Lauren Self.

Pallbearers: Lauren Self, Val Sullivan, JBird Chancey, Colby Chancey, Wayne Glenn, and Johnathan Ramsey.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with a visitation one hour prior with Dewayne Smith officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery in Hawthorne.

In lieu of flowers, Morgan's request was that donations be made to Harley's college fund. An account has been set up at Smart Bank in Morgan's honor.
