Ms. Esther Reynolds

Esther Allen Reynolds, 95, of Bastrop, TX, formerly of Chatom, passed away October 22, 2017 at Silver Pines Nursing Home in Bastrop. She was born September 20, 1922 to Jim and Artie Allen and lived most of her life in Chatom. She had been self-employed as a beautician for 60 years.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Reynolds and siblings, David Allen, Johnny Allen and Annie Ruth Emmons


She is survived by her daughters, Gayle (Joel) Reynolds-Louque, Debra Ann Reynolds; grandson, Joseph Daniel Williams and special friends, Betty Long and Cindy Steubing.


Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with the Rev. David Goldman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Reynolds Holiness Church with Lathan Funeral Home directing.


Pallbearers will be Joe D. Williams, Ron Lonergan, Jr., Daniel Emmons, Joe Williams, David Allen and Randy Grimes.


Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Hadley and Joel Louque.
