Nellie Janette "Jean" Dees Dearmon was born October 6, 1934 in Jay, Florida. Jean walked fully restored into Heaven on August 28, 2015.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wad & Amanda Wolfe, her brothers Buddy & Eddie Wolfe, Jimmy Joe Nelson and Petie Christian and a sister, Mabel Dearmon.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, Ollie V Dees in 1961 and her husband of 50 years, Perry Gene Dearmon in 2012.
She is survived by one brother, Daniel Lee (Denise) Wolfe of Texas and one sister, Laverne (Jimmy) Morris of Mobile, Al.
Jean retired from the Washington County High School cafeteria where she was a favorite among her children and grandchildren's friends. She was a selfless friend to others and a champion to the underdog. Her greatest joy came from being with her family to whom she leaves a legacy of love and giving. She leaves on this Earth, to honor her memory her daughters, Audrey Dees (Charles) Singleton and Shirley Dees (Stanley) Singleton, her sons, Dewain (Donna) Dearmon and Scott Dearmon, her 9 grandchildren, Ashlea Singleton, Sondra (Larry) West, Chad Singleton, Luke (Leah) Singleton, Leslie (Jeremy) Threadgill, Tanner Dearmon, Derek Dearmon, Dillon Dearmon and Taylor Dearmon. Great Grandchildren, Casey (Christiane) West, Gavin & Peyton West, Kylie & Mallie Singleton, Steven and Savannah Floore, Levi Dearmon, Kenlee Dearmon and Drake Threadgill. One Great- great grand daughter, Carrington West.
Services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Reynolds Holiness Church, Hwy 17 North in Chatom. Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 with funeral service beginning at 2:00 with Rev. Larry West and her Pastor, Troy Bailey, officiating. Internment will immediately follow at the Reynolds Holiness Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.lathanfuneralhomechatom.com.
