Norman Powell

Norman C. "Bud" Powell Jr, 72, of Wagarville, passed away on January 24, 2024, at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile. He was born February 24, 1951, to parents Norman C. and Mildred Hudson Powell Sr.. Bud was a carpenter by trade, he worked for a few local companies, but mostly worked for himself. He loved to hunt and fish whenever he had the time.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother Roger Powell.

Survived by his sisters Hazel (Dicky) Steele, Dixie (Leo) Thomas, Brenda Tarleton, and brother Tony (Lynn) Powell and Kym Pittman. He has many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly and treated as his own. Also, many cousins and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Blake Powell, Destry Powell, Lee Thomas, Garrett Thomas, Marty Pittman, and Waylon Warren. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Knight, Leo Thomas, Dicky Steele, Gene Taylor, Jamey Dunagan, Bart Tarleton, and Bucky Keith.

Graveside Services will be at 11:15am on Friday January 26, 2024, at Clearwater Cemetery with Bro. Glenn Sullivan officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Online condolences may be shared at www.lathanfuneralhome.com
