Otis Edward Tarver, Jr., 78, of Wagarville, passed away on August 6, 2024, at his home. He was born on October 26, 1945, to his parents Otis Edward Tarver, Sr. and Tennie Madaline Presnall Tarver.
Otis was a member of Perrys Chapel United Methodist Church. He graduated from Leroy high School in 1964. Otis served in the United States Army and retired from Huntsman Chemical Plant after 42 years. He was an avid fisherman and an Alabama football fan. Roll Tide! Most of all he loved his family; his wife Nancy of 56 years, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Henry Tarver.
Survived by his wife Nancy, sons, Tony (Nikki) Tarver, Keith (Kaye) Tarver; grandchildren Cole (Amanda) Tarver, Calee (Rylan) Allday, Dylan Tarver, Carly Keith, Tyler (Catherine) Keith; great grandchildren: Oliver, Beckett, Ada-Kate and Hattie, sister-in-law Helen Tarver, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral begins at 11:00 with Bro. Henry "Digger" Creel and Bro. Chip Oakley officiating. Interment will follow in Clearwater Assembly of God Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Foster, Chad Hayes, John Foster, Woody Parnell, Thomas Pugh, and John Tarver.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Allen, Les Collins, Terry Allen, Jimmy Carpenter, Bud McCorkle, and Tommy Johnson.
