Pamela Ann Horton “Pam” Ryser, 68, of Jackson, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 at her home. She was born June 13, 1952 in Grove Hill to the late Glover Wade Horton, Sr. and Gwendolyn Finch Horton. A member of Good Springs Baptist Church, she was previously employed with the Clarke County Board of Education as a first-grade teacher having earned her master's degree. She enjoyed riding the ranger, watching it rain and sitting at the camp watching the geese fly in.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Glover W. Horton, Jr., Louise H. Johnston, Jeanette H. Booth, Pauline H. Johnson and Winston D. Horton.
She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, William Edward “Eddie” Ryser, sons, William Joseph “Jody” Ryser and Edward Wade Ryser, grandchildren, Jordan Luann Ryser and William Cody Ryser, sister, Faye H. Bumpers as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson with Rev. Doreen Moore officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Britt Bumpers, Wesley Bumpers, Doug Booth, Michael Booth, Dwight Johnson and Will Bumpers. Honorary pallbearers will be The Gilmore Girls.
