Paul Blount

Paul Wyman Blount, 62, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Thomasville Nursing Home. He was born September 4, 1956 to Henry Lloyd Blount and Catherine Miles Blount, both of whom preceded him in death. An employee at The Arc of Clarke County for 42 years, he was passionate about the care of his clients. A family-oriented man, he adored his nieces, great nieces and nephews. He enjoyed visiting historical sites, especially battlefields and was an automobile enthusiast.

He is survived by his sister, Janet (Terry) Poole; nieces, Catherine (Jeremy) Overstreet, Lauren (Lance) Mayhair, Mallory Poole; great nieces and nephews, Aiden Overstreet, Adyson Overstreet, Sarah Kate Overstreet, Brantley Mayhair; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Jackson with the Rev. David B. Powell officiating. Visitation will begin a half hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the The Arc of Clarke County in his memory would be appreciated.
